The Girdner Family

Tuesday, November 12, 2013

Have I mentioned how much I LOVE what I do? Not only is it so fun to come home and look at all the pics for each session but I truly love how a kid can be screaming and not want me to take his picture and then by the end he wants me to come with him to his friends birthday party and I captured some huge smiles on his little face! The Girdner family has been friends with my brother and sister in law for forever and I was super excited when she asked if I'd do their pictures. The girls were just about the sweetest you'll ever meet, just full of smiles and eager to do whatever I asked them to do, I really had a good time with them! And not to mention the beautiful location! My sister in laws aunt just has the most gorgeous land that makes for a perfect back drop to our pictures.

With it being Christmas season I don't want to reveal the best images and ruin the fun of their christmas cards, so if you can imagine they get ever cuter!

The Nord Family

Friday, October 25, 2013

I think that I will forever remember the Nord family for so many reason. The biggest reason probably being that they were my first clients that I didn't know. I have to say, I was extremely nervous! My stomach was in knots and I was very close to canceling on them out of fear of "what am I doing?!" I don't have a whole lot of experience and this is all a new world to me so I was so thankful that Nadia went out on a limb and asked me to be their photographer! Secondly I think I'll always remember them (and I'm hoping that I'll get to do their pictures for years to come) because of how incredibly kind they were. They were just super sweet, Nadia picked out a beautiful place that she wanted to take them, the boys were very cooperative and smily and it was just a perfect session. I will forever be thankful that they chose me!

Kristin and Elijah

There's few things sweeter than growing up and remaining friends with someone for 20 plus years and then getting to watch their children grow. My grandma use to watch Kristin and I when we were just little toddlers and then we lost touch during our adolescent years but thankfully hooked back up, and she's done my nails for years now and now I got to do their family pictures! Little Elijah is just a crack up, he calls me "Daysha" and I had the brilliant idea of trying to bribe him for a smile by telling him we could race and then I found myself having to run across the park! So fun!

Gabi's Senior Pics

Tuesday, October 15, 2013

I had the privilege of doing my first photo shoot for my sister-in-law's niece, Gabi, a few weeks ago and it was such a blast. I've always loved taking pictures and have had a passion for capturing every moment that I can with my own children but have never had the opportunity to do it for someone else. I instantly fell in love with taking someone else's photos. Gabi was such a good sport, did everything I asked of her and was a natural. I'm anxious to get my next senior to see what else I can capture!
